I don’t know BW well but one Technical Director leaving doesn’t doom the whole club. Heck, even if the Executive Director leaves doesn’t doom the whole club either. Calm down people.
Mostly agree, but it would still raise a red flag. If I had a kid playing for a girls team or an entirely different age group, I would feel far enough from the drama to ignore it. But the sudden mid-season departure of the director of your brand-spanking-new ECNL program, who has been with the club for years in other positions, and announcing it with language more often associated with employers doing damage control after some sex or embezzling scandal—that would give me some pause about continuing to have my kid enrolled in their ECNL or pre-ECNL programs.
Agree the timing and wording of the announcement hints at something serious, and with the caveat that I haven’t had a kid at Potomac for several years, this is Potomac we’re talking about. It could just be ineptitude or pettiness at work. I’d say the same about most local clubs issuing similar statements.
