I always comment on these threads just to needle the hyper-cleaners.
My kid is in flag football after being in school all day for 1.5 hours 3 days a week. He takes a shower on those days. Yesterday, afterschool we went to the park for 1.5 hours and he ran like a tiger (yes on all 4s its impressive) through long grass for about 20 minutes. Tick check plus a shower. He averages 5-6 showers per week because of activity. Kids, when playing properly, get sweaty and dirty and grassy and need to shower, especially during the summer months when its hot and during spring with the pollen. If he has a lazy day around the house then he doesnt have to shower. It sounds like your kids need to be outside with the opportunity to get dirty more.
I’m sorry you didn’t have daughters.
NP. I have daughters and my kids life is similar to what this poster describes. In the spring, summer and fall we do a nightly tick check. They play outside in mud and tall grasses. Bakijg a mud concoction in the sun has been a favorite activity for all my children at once age regardless of gender. I have found small bugs I my daughters hair during shower after playing outside. We only skip showers if we have been inside all day.
Mine are the dolls/playdoh/friendship bracelet type, not the mudd and tall grass type. They bathe twice a week unless we go to the pool or beach, etc.
This is gross. Their nether regions must smell terrible.
+1
