Typically yes.  But last summer some companies didn’t give out return FT offers.  One of his friends who was a junior last summer (from a different school) received a return internship offer but not a FT offer.  DS wants to make sure he has options in the event the market turns south.  Never hurts to be prepared.[/quote]
