Her mom had all these hopes for her not to turn out her way: she was the smartest, the most reasonable, the most mature kid on earth. Then the grandparents sweep in with the private school money and solve that one problem she had. Rory was basking for too long in the glory of all the positive feedback from everyone telling her she was bound for success. The irony of the show is messy, no-good teen mom Lorelei ends up a college grad and successful business owner, and she did it all herself.[/quote]
