Re silent reflux and weight gain - paradoxically, as a GI explained to us, these kids want to keep drinking bc as the milk/formula go down, it feels soothing. They don’t spit up line non-silent reflux babies do hence the normal, and sometimes too much, weight gain.
Sometimes. My kid with silent reflux, was stimulating his vagus nerve and triggering asthma and burning a huge number of calories with work of breathing. Reflux can look all different ways. I think it's easy for parents to think "Oh, I know (or had) another kid with reflux and they (lost weight, gained weight, spit up, wheezed, loved/hated the stroller/swing/carrier) and this kid is different so it must not be reflux. But in reality reflux can look so many different ways.
