You all are a bunch of snobs. Drive two and half hours to beach. Hang out on the beach. Hit the boardwalk and get some pizza, french fries, and ice cream. Go to the arcade. Go back to the beach. Repeat until exhausted and drive home. If you can't enjoy that, I feel sorry for you.
I can fly to Miami in about 2½ hours and the beach options are infinitely superior. They have equally good pizza, French fries, and ice cream. But they also sport some excellent Cuban food and a dozen Michelin starred restaurant options. Plus the weather is nice and there is no shortage of great lodging options. Is there a new Michelin 3-Star or recently opened Four Seasons in Rehoboth or something? Explain it to me like I’m a kindergartener.
Some people are what grownups call insufferable— it means they are ‘t very nice and we don’t like to talk to them. Try not to be one of those people
