I think you are weirdly hung up on other peoples appearances and somehow think the body shape genetics has given you makes you superior. My point was to the OP that yes, there are lots of medically obese people and that not all of us are wearing dollar store leggings and driving an electric wheelchair in Walmart. Some of us shop at the same clothing stores as you and have blood pressure, cholesterol, and cardiovascular fitness levels that are within healthy ranges. I’m not delusional that I am technically obese, I just don’t think it’s the great personal failing you want it to be. OP asked if there are really so many obese people - the answer is yes. OP asked if most/many people are on semiglutides for vanity reasons - the answer is we don’t know because you don’t know anyone’s health issues. Some people are pre-diabetic at 30lb overweight and some people are statistically healthy at much higher weights. But what OP is really asking is “How are all these people qualifying for these drugs? I thought you had to be obese.” And the answer to that is my point - people are qualifying because they are technically obese, but many obese people probably present like me. If I told my friends I wanted to take semiglutides to lose 25-30lbs, they would correctly assume it was for vanity because despite technically qualifying as obese I don’t have any underlying medical conditions. Does that make sense or do you just want to be mean to “fatties” on the internet because it makes you feel better about yourself?
