CVS probably pays the plurality - it’s a large, updated space in premier location. Sq ft is almost as much as the Giant. Giant has been there forever and probably had a low rental rate. Landlord is probably looking forward to asking a higher rate from a new tenant. He’s already raking in so much money the dip in cash flow I probably isn’t hurting him much. He is not getting a new tenant with a higher rate — the lot is being redeveloped it public knowledge so no one is going to move on to be kicked out in X years by the county.
