After Jerry Sandusky's rape/molestation charges came to light, applications dropped by a lot for a number of years afterward (who could blame students/parents for not wanting to attend?). JoPa & the school administration handled it just about as poorly as they could have and allowed it to go on for many years, even after being made aware. Although, UVA has ALWAYS been difficult to get into. I graduated from high school in 1993 and UVA was a reach school for me even back then, and I had a 3.5 GPA, and an 1185 on the SATs. 🤷♀️ [/quote]
