My response was partially to you and then also to the other posters trying to make it seem like it's not the same process and that principals have some sort of golden parachute. Oftentimes, the principals that come back in interim positions have been begged to to do so. School communities should be thankful - running a school well is no easy feat. Just like the teacher shortage, there's a shortage of principals (especially good ones).
