Your coworker is probably afraid of carbs. Would love to hear more, but her remark was rude and your breakfast isn't her business! O
Maybe. She wasn't rude about it though. And she's quite fit and also credentialed.
Credentialed in what?
Bachelor's or master's in dietetics. Then was a SAHM for years. Recently returned to work in a corporate setting.
So she says. I wouldn’t believe any of that. She’s watching too much tik tok. Let me guess she’s wearing a cgm too. Don’t take health advice from idiots.
What an odd thing to lie about. I would 100% believe her credentials, I would just recognize that even highly credentialed people get stuff wrong. Just think about all the dietitians who were recommending 11 servings of simple carbs a day 30 years ago. Oops!
Not necessarily “oops!”. For some people a carb heavy diet (even, horror!, simple carbs) is the HEALTHIEST diet for their individual needs. I wouldn’t want someone with CKD on a high-protein diet, for example, especially not animal protein. Our bodies are far more complex than most people seem to realize. In the absence of an actual diagnosable health condition that precludes certain foods, the best way to control one’s weight is still the simple to understand, sometimes hard to follow, eat fewer calories than your body is burning. The best way to control one’s health is to “spend” those calories on minimally processed, nutrient-dense food. Such as… oatmeal.
