But also, the show runner is Lulu Wang, who made The Farewell with Akwafina, so I'm inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt. I do assume she had some constraints in making the show, both due to Amazon oversight and because Nicole Kidman is an executive producer and probably had more creative control than would be typical of the lead actor in a show like this.[/quote]
