Many literally do want to end incarceration completely.

Schwab is a lying fraud. In his campaign commercials he promised, "I'm gonna get after" juvenile crime. Folksy poor grammar aside, clearly installed by is former Venable partner to continue Racine's legacy. Remember when HE claimed that RJ was appropriate for MURDER? How is the victim going to meaningly participate? Medium? Ouija board?!!! Now Arlington and MoCo have adopted similar policies and second look legislation re: juveniles. In the 90s moving to either upped safety significantly. Now, whole region is markedly less safe due to these policies and prosecutors who see their job as social workers. Not to mention all the judges who still see themselves as public defenders.

We are all rolling the dice on borrowed time re: our safety and that of our families. Any one of us can be killed when we hand over car keys, shot in the head on K Street picking up a loved one or paralyzed driving in Dupont in broad daylight. What exactly will have made it worth it?

The people in charge DON'T care about the soaring body count of black men and children. And they don't care about YOU either. In fact, they want to do MORE OF THE SAME.

Are they eugenicists? Seriously wonder WHO is funding DC Justice Lab and to what end. That they literally wrote 4 pieces of legislation and the talking points for the Council and still get away with murky funding is shocking, especially in the nation's capital. The Sentencing Project will soon have 2 representatives on the Sentencing Commission. One a cold blooded killer with NO relevant expertise. The Council are just fronting puppets at this point.
