Yes. I was warned that I’d hate the reboot, but I watched it anyway.

It’s not a stretch to imagine that an adolescence without a stable father figure would mess up Rory’s character in terms of dating. The fact that the character was still struggling with this in the reboot was problematic. The fact that her raising the kid alone was seen as a positive, full-circle moment was problematic. I’d much rather have seen her end up in a functional relationship or doing IVF. They’d still get that “Mom, I’m pregnant” moment without the cheating and the father who didn’t care enough to be there. Huge mistake on the part of the writers. [/quote]
