She is not beloved in any way. She is admired for her ability to look good in public and keep a stiff upper lip, and benefits favorably from comparison to super-fake Meghan. But Kate has zero depth or charisma.[/quote]

The tabloids have worked overtime to convince people that Meghan is fake.  Meghan built a career before she ever met Harry. She had a following from Suits and the Tig.  When she and Harry did their first tour to Australia, she and Harry were really well received. Same in South Africa.  Just watch her speak. She was better prepared for some aspects of the job (public speaking, collaborating with charities, etc.) because she had been doing it as Meghan Markle long before she met Harry.  If you want to listen to the BS narrative of the tabloids you can.

The royalists love the tabloids and the pecking order of the inherited titles and rank. Regular people tend to look for someone who seems authentic or human. Diana had that in the way she interacted with people. She wasn’t stiff or aloof. Harry is like his mother. William looks more like her but is more reserved and aloof. So is Kate. I think that works for royalists but not nonroyalists and definitely not with younger people. Kate will never be the queen of people’s hearts like Diana was. Don’t see anyone taking that crown.
