I played in college, so I’m actually pretty familiar with the game. In my experience, parents who yell at refs about calls aren’t motivated by safety concerns. When I was concerned about unsafe play, I’d calmly say something like “ref, #12 black is hip checking the kids he’s guarding every time.” Refs are pretty on top of that kind of thing. If parents are yelling, it’s usually because they don’t know the game and the rules. [/quote]
