Not sure why you’re so eager to discount my opinion, but I’m not a newcomer, and it was a boarding school. I wasn’t ranking anything, just sharing the general feeling at my school. All rankings are somewhat arbitrary, but FWIW people came to my school from all over the world as well as the country so if we did do rankings, they would draw from a very wide population.

Perhaps you went to BU and I’ve offended you? If so, I apologize. My intention was not to disparage BU, just to tell OP that Tufts was quite well-regarded at the time I was applying to college, in a community of students who mostly went to top schools.
