[/quote] +1 I work at the VA, and I know many many vets who are too f**ked up to finish their degree and they squander their GI bill on a few bad semesters here and there until it’s gone. I see how even non-combat vets are chewed up and spit out. We’re not a military family and I don’t know much about how much harder it is to go this route, but I would push hard for that. [/quote] It's very very hard to get your degree as enlisted. They make it sound easy but it's not, especially if you have a family. It took my spouse many years to do. We were lucky he was never in combat but many friends who did, often had serious mental health issues afterward, except those in cushy jobs. Our Air Force friends were being sent to front lines as combat at one point. It can be done, but it's not easy. And, as enlisted you get pretty bad jobs.[/quote]
