HW load
   * for magnet 2-3 hours / night
   * for APUSH 1-2 hours / night
   * for Functions 3-4 hours /night

With those choices expect 6-8 hours of HW / night.

This is very inaccurate according to many students. Magnet classes have minimal HW and APUSH has an hour or so of homework every two classes. Functions HW varies between 1 hour and several hours.[/quote]

Every time this comes up people forget to say whether these timings are every night or only on half nights for block schedule.

And for Functions there's a big difference depending on whether the student already took Alg 2 in middle school. [/quote]

Every other class usually - block schedule.
Taking Algebra 2 in MS, either in or out of school helps a lot with Functions.[/quote]
