They just aren't cute though.

I don't always sacrifice comfort for fashion but I also just don't feel good with a pair of sneakers like that on my feet. I know it's just cultural conditioning but I can't get passed it. It's fine for just hiking on my own, but if I"m going on a vacation where I'll be going out to dinner, sightseeing, interacting with people, I just can't bring myself to wear those hideous shoes, no matter how comfortable they are.

I go with simple [b]white sneakers from Cole Haan, Adidas, or Reebok[/b]. Probably not as comfortable as something like Geox or Ecco, but way more supportive than other options, and still reasonably stylish. It splits the difference. If I'm not getting blisters and I can fit an orthotic insole in if necessary, it's good enough.[/quote]

Again, not the flat bottomed ones. They will not last for a 10 mile walk.
