People are posting about "cute" fashion sneakers that are totally fine for running around town, commuting, weekend activities. OP is looking for a shoe that you can walk 10 miles in. That's a lot of walking. As someone with knee and hip issues, I need a show that is super supportive, has plenty of cushioning, AND is easily adjustable to deal with swelling as the day wore on. Here are my recommendations: If you like the look of Vejas, I recommend checking out Tretorns. They have a similar look but are not as stiff and some versions have good cushioning and more supportive insoles. Yes you can always buy insoles but in my experience this never works as well as shoe with better cushioning support, especially when walking long distances. Bonus is that because Tretorns are not nearly as trendy as Vejas, they haven't experienced the same super markup in recent years, and are much more affordable. Also check out Saucony for the same reasons. Reebok Club Cs are a great all around walking shoe. Might look to "grandma" for some but I think their retro styling feels very on trend now. The remind me of Princess Diana. You might wear an insole with these, it depends how your arches are. I did not need an insole when I wore these for long days of walking in Europe, but I don't have flat feet. Sorel makes some athletic sneakers that are super supportive. Check out Sorel Kinetic with the strap over the top. Might be too sporty for some people but I think they can look cute if styled correctly (leggings, sweatshirt, sling bag, these are not for wearing with dressier clothes). New Balance has some comfy sneakers but be wary. Some of their more retro styles, which I think tend to be cuter, also have awful support. Check out the 327 and the 237, which I think are your best bet. I would almost definitely do an insert with these based on my prior experience with New Balance shoes. I would stay away from Gola, Onitsuka Tiger, and Nike. Gola and OT have too little cushioning across the board. I think they are fine for every day but walking 10 miles in them sounds like torture. Nike does have some more supportive lines (I've heard the Nike Revolution is popular with nurses, which is usually a good endorsement) but in generally I think Nike's are poorly made and don't last. And most Nikes are no cuter than a pair of Hokas or Brooks, in which case just wear those.
NP here with same question as OP. Which Tretorns would you recommend?
