I worked in college admissions. CS and Econ are crazily cutthroat and nearly impossible to get admitted for nowadays. Furthermore, a 760 Math will put him at disadvantage if he's applying for CS now at competitive colleges. My recommendation would be to pivot to niche humanities subjects like Art History, Ethnic Studies, Linguistics, History, etc. Most schools are looking to beef up their humanities classrooms, because they are struggling to get students to enroll in them. Once he's admitted, then he can swap subjects to whichever he wants.
I just read the phrase “a 760 math will put him at a disadvantage” and I have decided we’re done with this game. Nope.
I’m with you. My daughter has a 28 ACT. She had a couple of reaches where that’s not gonna cut it. She applied EA and I asked her if she decided to go TO. She said “hell no I’m proud of my score!” (We are proud too. She is historically not a test taker). College admissions have become a ridiculous game and it appears even my daughter is already tired of it 😂
