[b]“Doing something” would be more oil production and refining here in the US. [/b]Not begging the Saudis to keep prices down until the election, so dems won’t be hurt at the polls. Not putting 250,000 acres of land off limits to drilling the same week you further deplete our strategic reserves. Not having the NMFS put thousands of additional square miles of offshore oil fields on a prohibited status while groveling to China to put more of their oil on the world market. Not canceling a pipeline that gets oil from Canada down to the gulf for export on the world market, thus lowering the overall market prices. And the NEWEST refinery in this country was built when Joe Biden was still in his late 20’s - and he’s 80 now!

Countering any of those things would be “doing something”.

All Joe did was try (and fail miserably) to keep prices down until after people voted. [/quote]
