In Europe the state generally owns the airport and the airline. The wages, even for baggage handlers, is much higher than in the US, with more vacation time, down time etc.

There nothing in the post that I am responding to that a president of the United States is responsbile for.

If you are for re-regulating the airlines or having government control, I suppose that would be a topic for discussion, but it would certainly fly in the face of "OMG Socialism" and "pesky regulations" that the right is usually deriding.[/quote]
