My daughter went to Blessed Sacrament School in DC for middle school and upon touring BC said "this place seems like Blessed Sacrament in college form" (Not a pro for her, but certainly would be for others!)
For those who know nothing about Blessed Sacrament, what does that mean?
preppy, wealthy/country club vibe, sporty, high achieving people who do care about academics but not necessarily in a "life of the mind" kind of way, people who are maybe not overly conservative in the political sense but more so conventional in terms of interests, lifestyle, etc.
this. unusually homogenous in thought, culture, activities, background, interests. if your kid was worried that at (insert top 20 school here), they might end up on a dorm floor with kids who they (seemingly) had nothing in common with on that very first day .. then BC is your school. your dorm will be full of kids just like you!
This was not true for me - but I came from a less wealthy and more diverse back ground. I loved BC.
