I always thought Lewis was a bad choice for Lee as he was not from Virginia.  If they were going to name it after a prominent civil rights figure, fcps should have named it after the Loving family, historically significant Virginia civil rights leaders in a way that directly impacted many current fcps families.[/quote]
Carter Woodson is the father of Black history and he was born in Virginia.

The name change for the high school is an absurd waste of time and money, but I fully approve of Gatehouse getting renamed in his honor.[/quote]
