Two of my HS friends got unexpected pregnant senior year and had a quickie wedding and she was there! She had pics and everything. They didn’t share them on social media because the bride was very pregnant and she and her family were conservative and embarrassed about the pregnancy so it was my first time seeing at least some amateur pictures taken on a mid-2000s digital camera of the event!

THEN, I was like “let’s meet up this weekend and catch up some more if you’re free” but she was going back to home state for a wedding. And she was all, “haha maybe you know them too, (Larla Smith) and (Brandon Jones)?” And I didn’t but I was somehow stuck on Larla Smith, like I had heard that name before or something. So I thought about it for awhile and IT TURNED OUT she was the ex-girlfriend and baby mama of a guy I used to work with, who got addicted to meth and had a Menty B and skipped town all of a sudden with their toddler age kid. And my CWer spent basically his whole life savings up to that point fighting her for custody. That was about when I lost touch with him because he got a new job. He got primary custody of the kid and she, eventually, though it took years, apparently got clean and married this other guy. And my new friend’s post about it on social media was all, “Larla you’ve come so far and overcome so much! I’m so proud of you and Brandon!!!” I didn’t see her kid with my former CWer in the wedding pictures either (he might not have been visible in the pics I saw but you’d think your son would have some kind of role in your wedding? Especially by that point he was probably about 10-12 years old.) I never mentioned that I was aware of Larla’s past drama though! [/quote]
