Lots of people coming on here to talk about how their kids aren't doing very well at math and want to blame it on the school.
I never said that my kids aren't doing well in math. They (2 of them) went on to get 5s in BC Calculus AP as well. I will say that the Deal math and especially the Algebra 2 class left some major gaps. My kid was not alone in this regard from the kids from this terminal class. I'd say out of 15 kids, about 10 of them left DCPS for high school (Catholic, private, out of state). We kept up with a half dozen and all were required to take Algebra 2 again when they were given placement tests. Listen, I'm not anti-DCPS. I currently have another kid in DCPS. People who have a less than a sunshine and roses experience with DCPS academics should not be told that our kids are dumb or losers or we suck. Some of you are ridiculous. In reporting my family's honest and actual experience I'm not attacking your schooling choice.
