Started to post this earlier but didn't (was commenting on another aspect of this thread) but I'll add that Streep has a terrific rep as being down-to-earth. Source: My adult child is involved in an organization in which Streep has long been involved. No publicity about it really. But people associated with the group all say she's genuinely nice and easy to work with, no diva stuff at all. Generous with time as much as possible considering the demands of filming etc. at times. No idea why some PP decided to hate on her, other than that Streep is genuinely talented and famous because of that talent. Those who've actually dealt with her have positive things to say. [/quote]
