NP. I have had exactly the number of abortions that I intended to have. I don't want to talk about them, see people having them, anything like that. I just want them to be available. I have voted R in the past and may vote R in the future. Once this abortion issue is past. Every R candidate who swears fealty to banning abortion loses my vote and the large majority of American votes.
Do you believe there should be any limits on abortion? Even up to full-term? If so, where do you draw the line? Do you believe they should be unlimited? If not, what’s the limit?
DP. I don't believe there should be limits on abortion. "Full term abortions" is essentially a red herring. Women don't go through feeling their baby kick, watching them move, listening to their heartbeat for 32 weeks, and suddenly decide that they've changed their mind, and would like an abortion. There is almost always heartbreak involved in decisions to terminate/deliver early, either involving threat to a mother's life, or threat to the fetus. These are wanted pregnancies. What does it say about a person that believes that women willy-nilly go about terminating pregnancies they have carried for 8 months?
