What percentage of “Independent suburban women” rank abortion as their only voting criteria?
Single digits. Compare that to jobs, schools, safety.
“Exit polling from ABC News showed a plurality of Pennsylvania voters, 37%, chose abortion as the issue that mattered most to them as they cast their ballots. And those voters overwhelmingly supported Democrats.” https://www.goerie.com/story/news/politics/2022/11/16/pennsylvania-women-helped-john-fetterman-josh-shapiro-win-midterm-elections-abortion/69648023007/
Yes. There are posters on here that seem to think if they say many times that abortion rights is not an important issue, that will make it true. They can not seem to understand the robust evidence right in front of us all that it is a very important issue that motivates voter turnout and drives votes. If you want to win independent suburban women at the polls....take a pro choice position. Period.
