When you say no transportation, do you mean to games? Our MS coach arranged carpools. A few parents went to every game. I never had to drive. And only about 1/2 the parents attended games as many were working in the afternoons so there’s no pressure to do it all.
Wow. These parents were ok with that?
Are you serious? Some parents live for this sort of thing - like my husband. He goes to every game unless he has a major conflict. And he doesn’t mind driving other players either.
Don’t most families have at least one parent at every game? IME this is the case.
Most- but IME a lot of parents have trouble making it to some of the away games. They start so early and are often quite far away, and to get there during rush hour traffic is tricky. My son played baseball last Spring and I’d say 1/3 of the kids had no parent in attendance at any given away game. I often couldn’t get there until halfway through the game, and that seemed pretty common. The bus did provide transportation back to our MS for any student that needed it. More often that not, another spring sport (girls softball etc) shared a bus with the team to/from as the games were scheduled on the same days for efficiency - so there were a fair number of kids riding back on the bus, or carpooling back with other parents.
