You're not completely wrong (although you missed that Dems are screwing up at the national level too), but people have to choose D or R. Crime, restorative justice, and absurd school boards affect my family's daily lives a lot more than access to abortion. To date, the most harmful political event that my family has EVER experienced was the prolonged DCPS school closures. So I recently switched from a DC dem to move to another area where I'm now a republican. I'm pro-choice, but I'll just pay to travel if my daughter ever needs access to an abortion that we can't get where we live. [/quote]

You know it's the truth or you wouldn't become so defensive and angry. It's not about "showing the school board." It's that Washington Teachers Union and their political supporters created an entire generation of public school children with trauma. Deal and Wilson/J-R used to be good, safe schools. After the ridiculous school closures for A YEAR AND A HALF, they had daily fights and learning was disrupted by constant behavior problems. They idiotic school leadership focused way too much on SJW stuff in lieu of a solid education. Our WOTP elementary has unprecedented levels of bullying and other behavior problems. So many kids with elevated anxiety, unusual even for this group. And that's the kids who go to school. Many of them dropped out and became career criminals due to school closures. It's about the WORST city council we've had in a very long time encouraging crime. The crazy progressives screaming people are racist for wanting open schools and lower crime. You can continue to enjoy crappy public schools and high crime. I'm out. [/quote]

Experts expected an increase in aggression and violence after the pandemic. I recall hearing a former DHS employee that had left and moved to Texas. As soon as the pandemic hit, they rehired her to deal with the expected increase in domestic terrorism. You can continue to blame the school board if you’d like, but it isn’t that simple.
