Out of curiosity. Were there polls on this? And if so, were they correct?
Everything I read said it was close. - I live in Ohio
No it wasn't Results Choice Votes % Yes 1,315,346 42.99% No 1,744,094 57.01% Total votes 3,059,440 100.00% https://www.wlwt.com/article/issue-one-ohio-election-results/44762487
Sorry misunderstood. I thought this was about polls. The articles I read leading up said it was going to be close. Also my Nextdoor has been bonkers with people who were misinformed. I was incredibly worried, and I can’t explain the relief I feel today. More than relief, I feel hope and renewed faith in my fellow Ohioans.
Misinformed how? About the polls or what the referendum meant or what? Very curious. Thanks, PP.
NextDoor neighbors were posting about all of the same lies we see here on this forum ie: “Partial birth abortion” “abortion on demand!”abortion up until the due date for healthy babies” that was all expected The new ones were: “ minors will get sex change operations without parental consent” And I was seeing commercials for that specific talking point- so I know where they got it. Also “ they are silencing the 44 smallest counties! There voices are just as important as the ( implied evil) cities. * the current process the republicans sought to change required 5% of the last gubernatorial election over any 44 counties to make to ballot with a cure process of 10 days. That’s been the process for over a century.
