I've never understood the supposed need to see a video/hear on a monitor when you are a room or two away (living in condos in DC). I feel like it makes you pay more attention in the moment too- and no running out to do errands while the baby's sleeping (I have neighbors who've brought a phone down to a block party, saying they can hear if the baby awakes!).[/quote]
