Welcome to brutalism. There are worse places in Boston. Government Center for instance. The 1970s were good for some things - movies and music. But the cocaine clearly didn't affect architects the same way. Anything built between 1970 and 1980 is bleak. Architects in the 1970s have a lot to answer for.

The interior is alright though.

Undergrads will spend zero time inside the law building. The rest of the campus is mixed. Some very cool spaces, particularly in the older brownstones for seminars. And then large lecture halls. But if BU didn't put signs on their buildings, you'd never know it was a campus

If that's an issue, then it's the wrong school. It's an urban campus with easy access to all of Boston. And that's what most of their students are looking for.
