[/quote] That is middle school age. 8th graders turn 14 in 8th grade. August is just before the cut off (most are turn 5 by Sept 1 or Sept 30), so lots of August boys are held back. But the 'on time' kids start turning 14 at the beginning of the school year too. [/quote] +1 My son turned 14 in Nov of 8th and was sent on time. We know a fair number of redshirted boys with summer birthdays [/quote]
