The divorce rate is quite low for couples who are both college-educated and married after age 25. Citing to risk of divorce based on the general population is not relevant to the typical DCUM couple.
The marriage rate for that demographic is low too, this less divorces. But as a man, your college educated wife is 90% likely to initiate the divorce. The risk vs reward isn’t favorable for men, especially wealthier men. Women are the gatekeepers of sex, men are the gatekeepers of commitment. Most women are statistically chasing after the top 10% of men. Those men can and will choose who they commit to. Unless you’re a top tier woman and a genuine 8-10 (lets be hue at most women are NOT) then you’re likely to be part of the 54% of women who will be single and childless forget by 2030
Hold on. You actually think 90% of college educated married women end up initiating divorce? Explain yourself. Also, no, women do not chase 10% of men. This has been debunked many times. Women are very realistic about who they date.
It’s the date….look for yourself. Half of marriages fail, if she’s college educated 90% of the time she initiates the divorce. Super easy to find Yea, the stats show women chase the top 10% https://amj.kma.re.kr/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1597&context=journal You can argue “that’s just online”; But ONLINE is how Gen Z and Millennials date. A whopping 53% of people under 30 have used a dating site or app, compared to only 37% of the 30–49 age group, a measly 20% for 50–64-year-olds.
So the lower quality 53% use dating apps.... I was thinking the question is more for the top 5% or so, they're not on dating apps at any age. Their social circle provides plenty of opportunity for both men and women. My kids don't use them and we've discussed many times how important it is to marry you financial, academic, spiritual, and social equal... both my son and daughter get the same advice here. Their spouses will help raise my grandchildren, so they know this has always been a very important family value.
