That's awful. You should point out that when the college aged kids are launched adults he will likely treat them much better and include them more. I would not expect much from this bad excuse for a dad.[/quote]

OP its hurtful but he has written you off. My parents did the same. Even when I DID have small children they were like "you're an adult, you had them, you look after them - no we won't help out if you're in hospital"
