[/quote] Similar circumstance here, except baby was just over a year old, we drove from Chicago to Kentucky to stay at DH’s aunt and Uncle’s house with extended family, AND my grandmother was dying/died while we were there. I was such a mess that I made us pack up and leave early. I couldn’t handle being around all those people. It was the worst. I wish I had insisted that we traveled to my home country for Christmas (DH didn’t feel like we could afford it), or at the very least, stayed home.[/quote]
