[/quote] IMO, Korea is a different animal. There just aren't as many opportunities in Korea, period. And if you don't go to one of the three top universities, you can't get a high paying job. I'm Korean American. My father served in Korea. My brother served in the US military voluntarily after HS. Parents weren't too happy about that. But, he got a GI bill and used it help pay for a public ivy. The military was the best thing for him, and not only because of the GI bill. It shaped him up and instilled discipline. He learned a skill. He was pretty immature when he left HS, but he came back super disciplined. I agree with the PP.. some kids really need a lot more structure.[/quote]
