Sure, it is hyperbole.  But, PP wanted to eliminate the Republican Party.  What do you think you would get?  Look what the current SB has done.  They don't listen to parents because they don't have to do get reelected--as long as they get the Dem endorsement.

The Republican candidate has a great opportunity to win Dranesville - there is a ton of frustration with the Ds on the BOS and SB, who have done serious damage to the Democratic brand in Dranesville.  But they have to get their candidates out there.  I’ll vote for Paul Bartkowski over Robyn Lady in a heartbeat as long as he isn’t a total MAGA, but there’s no way to know unless he starts to be more visible. [/quote]
