Thank you for your email inquiry.  The 2022 MCAP assessments were only the second time these new assessments were administered.  Once any new assessment is given for two years, the results from both assessments (2019 and 2022) undergoes a process called ‘standard setting’.  During this process, the data is reviewed and scale scores and cut points between performance levels are determined.  Unfortunately this process takes a long while which is why the results from 2022 have been delayed.  We ask for your extended patience as we have received the student’s Individual Score Results (ISRs) for all MCPS students just recently.  We will be working over the next several weeks to organize and mail out last year’s results to all families with elementary schools being prioritized first.  Your current principals will send out a message to alert your school’s community when your ISRs have been delivered to the US Post Office and that you can expect them to appear in your mailbox. She is clearlynot telling the truth, given that the state confirmed they gave MCPS electronic access in January. Very clear that MCPS just doesn’t want people to have their kids’ results. [/quote]
