This is what I think most folks don't realize.  The number of Russian soldiers already dead vastly outnumbers all the years of the Russian invasion of Afghanistan - the Russian equivalent of the US Vietnam War.

But Russia has had many high-loss days since the War in Ukraine started.  Overall, Russian losses are approaching the WWI and WWII level.
