Just stop posting. It is so cringe. Only old clueless people do it. Everyone else is getting paid as an influencer.
Most of my parent friends post. They post vacations, first time their kid walks, Disney, beach, hiking. Nothing is exciting. We all share similar posts.
Do you find these posts interesting? Do you think more of the people posting?
I genuinely like seeing some people’s photos. They are my friends and I like them and their families. There are some people whose posts can be annoying. Some seem like they are bragging. Others are boring. I have some friends who will repost random celebrities or quotes.
So I recently went back on FB after several years, I posted some Christmas Vacay pictures and was surprised when all my long lost friends who were mothers didn't like any of my posts. Then it dawned on me that they couldn't afford to travel (my friends are all teachers or sahms) so they were jealous or envious of my position in the pictures. Oh well.
If you’ve been off social media for several years, it’s entirely possible you just don’t post enough content to show up in their algorithms. Weird to immediately jump to the conclusion of jealousy. If they are moms, then maybe FB serves them up parenting-related content and not random travel photos. I realized recently I see a rather small set of content, mostly of the friends I interact with on social media the most, and I go days at a time without checking, so it’s quite plausible I’ve missed the vacation pics of some of my own long lost friends.
