I don't understand how your writing is so bad when English is your first language and you've been employed for so long. Does your work writing look like your DCUM writing?
Just as bad or worse. I try not to write things. Lately I do emojis. This might shock people but I counted on my J1 I sent under 5 work emails in the last year. I stick on slack where typos and emojis rule. using periods for instance not a thing on slack. I Also do chat or Google meet. Lately I started using transcribe function to do meeting minutes of necessary. Funny when I used to present at Board level I used big font. Just a few bullets. I cant read that well and don’t like details. I recall I once did a fascinating lunch speaking gig. I wove together stories and stuff. I literally had a few bullets in huge font. Afterwards I was talking two Asian attendees who were here on rotation. Both commented how amazing it was and impressive no notes. But then added I was trying to take notes but you did not really say anything on subject. For example I did a report for Jaime Dimon at JP Morgan and I worked with him briefly. Mention Jaimie and opens wormhole as I have great stories of stuff he did. Throw in Financial crisis and I go down occupy Wall Street and my visits to SEC. My speech very interesting but no hard facts. I have done 60-90 board presentations, 200-300 CEO presentions, spoke at dozens of conferences up to 800 people and script always goes the same. A story, icebreaker, joke, a few fun facts, how was your weekend, how did your team do, some name dropping. The CFO of American Express along with Treasuer of McDonalds was on my one board and they hear me present five times a year. I think they knew what I was doing. The CFO of American Express told me I am the most entertaining presenter and you never know what will come out of my month. I think he almost spit up his drink when treasurer of McDonald’s asked me some question about accruals or something. I had no clue so I said you mean similar to how McDonalds accrued for the lawsuit over hot coffee at the drive through? He went off on that topic and everyone jumped on him. I never answered. You go unprepared with a high ass deck a few hundred times you can wing it. Tomorrow got an interview at some place to replace J2 not even going to prepare. It is remote. Maybe I will tell my story how I worked with Chip Carter who told me some great Billy Carter stories or perhaps how I once interviewed for CIA. I am certainly not talking about actual job! That is boring. I think I once threw in when I met the Princess of Japan in an interview. I only gave half the story so they had to hire me to hear the rest
