My husband was promoted 20 years ago! Similar backgrounds and workplace. She made her career her priority just like he did. Both equally smart and similar people skills. Different outcomes. My husband and I were hired at the same company right out of grad school. After my first review where i exceeded expectations, I overheard my boss telling someone how much my husband got as a raise so they would give me only so much because together we would be making way too much for dinks. I was working late and they did not realize I was there. Sadly not much has changed.[/quote]
