A big cluster for 2025 kids who have already planned out their courses and now have to figure out how to incorporate a semester class into a course load of year long classes. Kids have jobs and other priorities mover the summer. They really need to make this optional for 2025 at this point. My daughter already taking a useless class to balance out health A and now has to find another useless class to balance out health B. Most kids would have done A and B as a full yet but too late to do that for many.
That was her fault for not waiting until 11th grade to take Health. You knew it was a full year requirement for class of 2025 in 8th grade, prior to registering for any HS classes.
Not for the class of 2025. This was added well after they they registered for freshman classes, and B wasn’t ready during their (current) sophomore year. They had no way to plan for this.
This. 2025 grads can only do this in 11th or 12th. my kid now has to drop Economics to take health B and something silly like ceramics or hip hop.if B was offered earlier she could have combined them both as a full year. cant do summer since she works and will be prepping for.SAT.
Yes, it's very frustrating for the class of 2025. But can't your kid take a half-year of Economics (macro or micro) to go with health B? What did she combine with health A to make a full year? Just asking as I look ahead for my kid (class of 2026) who wants to get at least health A out of the way this summer but wants to know what would happen if they couldn't fit health B into a future summer.
