Son did not get in. I like to appeal. Where can I find the Appeal Form? And what is the procedure? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Kind of disturbed. I guess his GBR was not good. His CogAT 99 percentile, stanine 9A. Please help.
I am sorry. :( You need to have new information to appeal. Best bet is likely a WISC if you can afford it. (Cost will be roughly $350 - $500.) GMU does WISC testing or you could opt for a private psychologist. Call very soon (tomorrow?) as you will need time to make the appointment, have the testing done, and get the report back. Link to appeal form (deadline is June 1): http://www.fcps.edu/is/aap/pdfs/Spring2012AdvAcadLevelIVProgramAppealForm.pdf Link to GMU testing: http://cap.gmu.edu/ Link to post listing some private psychologists: http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/228708.page#2342731 Good luck!
Thank you for your help. I scheduled appointment with GMU. But, Today, AART said, no WISC test is required (GBR - 12). She advised to appeal with few more adult recommendations only. Will it work? Did anyone have any experience like that (Appeal without WISC)? Can you please suggest any other doc to submit along with recommendation? Thank you. I appreciate.
