And if you believe that whomever replaces Putin will be a teddy bear, I think it's a bit naive thinking. Lack of empathy and utter brutality is the hallmark of the Russian Intelligence and Security services (KGB/SVR/FSB). It takes an iron will and strength to rule in that part of the world, and it will take a very, very long time for that to change. It will probably take 50 or a hundred years to ferret out the corruption alone, And if you think they're bad; the Chinese government does it quietly, with a smile.
